Heidi Weiss
Heidi has found inspiration in Pilates ever since her introduction to the discipline almost a decade ago. She believes deeply in the power Pilates to transform lives. Heidi is a Peak Pilates certified instructor since 2005, during which training she completed over 600 hours of training and apprenticeship hours. She has been teaching since 2004.
Heidi received a BA in Chinese from Reed College in 2001. In 2005, Heidi also received certification as a Nutritional Therapist (CNT). She is currently pursuing a degree in Public Health from Portland State University as part of the Oregon MPH program.
In late 2006, Heidi opened Portland Pilates Collective and Wellness Center with a vision to make Pilates accessible to a wider demographic, and as a gathering place for those who wish to teach or study Pilates.
Mary Ganzon
Mary happily introduces her Portland Pilates teaching at Heidi Weiss's Portland Pilates Collective and Wellness Center. She will be available to teach privates/workshops/classes. The Center is located at 134 SE Taylor (on the southwest corner of SE 2nd and SE Taylor St.).
Mary Ganzon is a Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) gold certified Pilates instructor, movement teacher and artist. She brings to Portland a diverse background of improvisational dance/bodywork/energy modalities to help people discover and regain access to their own infinite movement. She has worked with populations from rehabilitation/fitness/performance enhancement and general wellness for over 10 years.
Jessica Schultz-Reynolds
Jessica received her ballet training at the Milwaukee Ballet School in Milwaukee, WI. While ballet is her primary discipline, she also studied tap, lyrical jazz, and modern dance at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. She has performed with numerous ensembles, including a high energy entertainment ensemble, which toured annually throughout the Midwest.
Jessica moved to Portland in 2000, teaching ballet fundamentals for area schools, Multnomah Arts Center, and Oasis. She is a certified instructor for the New York City Ballet Workout, which she is currently teaching at Spa Chakra at the Avalon Hotel and Sunset Athletic Club. Additionally, Jessica is certified to teach Pilates Mat Classes through Power Pilates, a classical training system. She is currently teaching Pilates Mat Classes at Spa Chakra at the Avalon Hotel, The Club at Kruse Woods, and Club Fed. Starting in 2004 as an apprentice at Geometry Pilates in the Pearl, Jessica completed her Peak Pilates certification through levels I, II, and III before moving to Portland Pilates Collective. While studying Pilates, Jessica also completed her Masters in Science and Teaching at Portland State University, working there as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Music Department. Her teaching style focuses on the unique needs of individual clients and encourages positive improvement in a fun, supportive environment.
